Privacy & cookies

Who is responsible for your data?

The controller is Firma JUMA Justyna Pecyna, ul. Karola Miarki 3, 41-800 Zabrze, Poland, tax identification number (NIP) 6262474707, which operates Sorrento restaurant. For privacy enquiries, email sorrentozabrze@gmail.com or call +48 32 278 13 33.

Contact and reservations

When you call or email us, we use the contact details, message and booking information you provide to handle your request. Providing data is voluntary, but contact details and visit information may be necessary to reply and confirm a table. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract or performing it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for other enquiries it is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). We keep data while handling the matter and subsequently where necessary for legal obligations or establishing, exercising or defending claims until the applicable deadlines expire. Sending a message does not itself confirm a reservation.

Operating the website

The server may log technical connection data, including IP address, request time, visited URL and browser information. This serves our legitimate interest in delivering, diagnosing and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are retained as needed for these purposes; records relating to an incident may be kept while it is investigated and relevant claims are addressed. This website has no registration form or newsletter. We do not use advertising tools or make automated decisions producing legal effects.

Your choice and browser storage

We save your optional-service choices on your device in localStorage under sorrento_privacy_v2: separate map, review and analytics preferences, settings version and date. Choices remain valid for 180 days; we then ask again. This necessary storage only remembers your settings and is not an advertising identifier. If storage is blocked, your choice works only on the current page. You can change it or withdraw consent using “Privacy settings” in the footer. Refusal does not prevent you from viewing content, the phone number or the menu.

Optional map and reviews

Google Maps, the Reviews Widget embed and Google Analytics 4 are disabled by default. You can enable each separately. With analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 measures visited pages, traffic sources, scrolling and outbound link clicks, among other interactions. Google may store analytics cookies in your browser; we set their lifetime to no more than 180 days and disabled advertising features in the website code. Only after consent does your browser connect to the relevant provider; Google or reviewswidget.app may receive your IP address, browser and referring-page data. Review photos may load from Google. Consent is the basis for optional processing under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Disabling an already loaded service refreshes the page. It does not delete data already shared or provider cookies, which you can also manage in your browser and the provider’s settings.

Recipients and external services

Hosting and website support providers and the Gmail email service may access data as necessary to deliver their services. After enabling a map, reviews or analytics, Google and, for reviews, the Reviews Widget provider receive connection data. Google explains its practices, including international processing and safeguards, in its privacy policy. External services may involve processing outside the EEA, including in the USA. Links to Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok lead to separate services with their own policies. Opening an ordinary external link is independent of consent for services on this website.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Contact the controller to exercise your rights or obtain details about recipients and transfer safeguards. You may also complain to the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office: uodo.gov.pl.

Updates

Last updated: 28 October 2026. This policy covers the restaurant website and contact through the stated channels. If the services used change, we will update this information and seek consent again where necessary.
